Guillermo del Toro and Pinocchio Animations / Olmo Cuarón

The industry of the Seventh Art, specifically in Latin America, has important icons, including Guillermo del Toro. 

This Mexican has devoted his body and soul to film. It is undeniable that all along his professional career he has directed many films impeccably and masterfully.

Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone and The Shape of Water, are some of his most famous and acclaimed Hollywood productions.  

As a matter of fact, Guillermo del Toro raised his first golden statuette with “The Shape of Water” that established him as one of the most brilliant filmmakers of all time. 

It is also important to mention that an animated film of Guillermo del Toro recently premiered in Netflix. 

This new version of Pinocchio, a Disney classic, has received great reviews and has had an exceptional revenue.  

As a matter of fact, it is believed that he will receive many nominations from the Academy Awards for 2023 thanks to Pinocchio. Therefore, Guillermo del Toro could once again raise a golden statuette in the near future. 

Pinocchio is an animated film, (specifically made in stop-motion). This is a dream come true for del Toro since he thinks that animation is filmmaking in itself and not just a simple genre. 

Another Successful Filmmaker: Alfonso Cuarón

Alfonso Cuarón is another Mexican filmmaker that has achieved great feats in the big screen. 

After directing “Gravity” and “Roma” he raised two golden statuettes. Just like Guillermo del Toro, he has known how to make a name for himself in the filmmaking industry and it is important to say that he has earned everyone’s respect. 

 

Alfonso Cuarón has been making films for decades, he is one of the most important examples in the Latin American market.

Olmo Cuarón, who is son of Alfonso Cuarón, is following his footsteps. His animations and stop-motion videos are worthy of admiration.  

Without a doubt, Olmo Cuarón’s animations overflow with ingenuity, talent, creativity, and a lot of imagination. 

Olmo Cuarón’s animations could become great successes, as it has happened with Guillermo del Toro’s animations, which has his father very excited.
