WhatApp Updates Group Privacy Settings for Android and iOS Users

After providing the group privacy setting for users, WhatsApp has started to implement this feature in other markets as well. This new feature is compatible with the latest Android and iOS beta of WhatsApp Messenger. WhatsApp has introduced a twist in it. Instead of the ‘Nobody option’, which was available in Group Privacy Setting, a new Blacklist option will be available to the users.

WhatsApp is also going to implement the feature to listen to the voice messages continuously on the desktop version of the app. The improved Group Privacy Setting is being remotely activated by the feature in iOS beta version 2.19.110.20 and Android beta version 2.19.298.

Users can see the new Blacklist feature after updating to the latest versions. The tracker allows users to back up chat history and reinstall WhatsApp to enjoy the latest configuration. Users can check the new feature by going to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy > Groups.

The users will see three options namely Everyone, My Contacts, and My Contacts Except.

When the feature was initially rolled out, there was a Nobody option in place of the My Contacts Except option. But the new option will let you select the users that have to gain approval before entering to a group. The users can also select a few users or click on the Select All option to include the entire contact list.
