The former Indian captain and a superb batsman, Sunil Gavaskar has admitted that he wants to see Sourav Ganguly as BCCI president. According to him, Sourav Ganguly is doing a great job in the BCCI administration and he has taken many great decisions in his tenure.
Sunil Gavaskar has said that Sourav Ganguly has great skills for managing the administration works of BCCI and hence he should continue at his position till the end of the 2023 World Cup. The Supreme Court of India has refused to hear the matters related to BCCI as it is busy hearing the other pending cases on its bench.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the court failed to work effectively, and hence, it is now choosing only emergency matters. Sunil Gavaskar has stressed that cricket fans are awaiting the decision of the Supreme Court on the continuation of Sourav Ganguly as BCCI president.
Gavaskar has admitted that Saurav has made a great contribution to the Indian cricket and he has ignited the fire to win every match within the Indian team. According to him, the Bengal Tiger can also make a lot of contribution to the Indian Cricket by serving as BCCI president further.
Recently, Sourav Ganguly went for the COVID-19 test after his brother Snehashish tested positive for COVID-19. He went for the test as a precautionary measure and now the obtained report has declared him perfectly normal. Cricket fans from across the world are also supporting Gavaskar’s claim and they too want to see Saurav Ganguly on the seat of the BCCI president for the next few years.
