With major celebrity & high profile weddings happening here, Udaipur has become the most sought after destination as the wedding venue. There are plenty of royal palaces, luxurious hotels, new trendy resorts and budget hotels to choose from.
The cost of destination wedding in Udaipur can be anywhere from Rs. 30 Lakhs to Rs. 4 Crores. Royal Palaces will cost from Rs. 1.5 Cr to Rs. 3.5 Cr, whereas a luxurious hotel like The Leela or Hotel Lakend can be booked for Rs. 70 lakhs. Resorts costs a bit lesser at Rs. 40-50 lakhs. The charges differ upon the property and time of the year with November & December being the highest chargeable months. The decoration costs 6- 15 lakhs depending on the customer’s preferences. If the customer needs, the venue can be decorated according to a theme and special requirements like exotic flowers, dramatic décor, et al can all be fulfilled.
The venues cater to the trend of pre wedding shoots and wedding photography too. Special rooms, places can be booked. The cost comes to Rs 2.5–10 lakhs. Leading photographers can be arranged. Most of these venues provide catering and don’t allow outside catering. But Lakend is one of the few hotels which allows outside caterers too. Venues like Jagmandir island palace and 5 star hotels charge 6k to 10k/ person. While other hotels and resorts charge 2k-5k/ person for the food.
There is no end to what can be made possible. Fireworks, Elephants, Horses, Special cutlery, vintage cars for baraat, Star performances, leading DJs for sangeet, everything is made available at extra costs.
Transportation, Udaipur tours for guests, porters, guest management services to assist family during the wedding can all be arranged at Rs. 25k to few lakhs, depending upon requirements.
