Trump Says China is Eager to Deal with the US

WASHINGTON – While keeping his eye on the ongoing Beijing visit of a high-powered US delegation led by its Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to strike a deal with the Chinese counterpart, the US president has made an important revelation. He said that China is eager to deal with the United States. The US President further hinted at improving the relations between the two countries.

The US President is constantly getting every update about the US delegation trade visit to China. After carrying out his Cabinet meeting with the White House, Donald Trump told reporters, “Things are going well with China. China wants to make a deal very badly. I want it to be a real deal, not just a deal that makes it – – you know, cosmetically look for a year. We have a chance to make a real deal with China.”

While commenting on a bilateral trade deal, the US president said a high-powered American delegation led by Lighthizer is currently in China to negotiate with China. It is likely to bring down the bilateral trade deficit, stop Chinese theft of intellectual property and end coercion of American companies in India. Also, Trump denied all the rumors about his near future meeting with the Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. He said the US is presenting its stand from a strong position.

“We have never been in this position before. We’ve always been a lame duck. We’re not a lame duck anymore. We’ve gone up tremendously in value as a country, in economic value. Tremendously, “he said. Further, Trump said that the US is doing pretty well and the negotiation talks are going pretty well. He said the US has the best performing stock market and China’s stock market is performing very poorly. Also, the US assured they are capable of further growth in the near future.
