Niantic launched Harry Potter: Wizards Unite game on 21st June. The game had created a lot of buzz before its release due to the famous series of the Harry Potter movie. This game is the second real-time multiplayer game of Niantic after Pokemon Go which was released in 2016. Since 2016, Niantic was working on its second project of Harry Potter game version and recently released the game.
Harry Potter – Wizards Unite game is at number one position as a debutant application on the Google play store. The game has completed 400,000 installs on its opening day and has provided massive traffic of visitors on the downloading link. Although the game is released in the UK and US, but when it will be released in other countries, the number of installs will be much more.
Apart from experiencing the record-breaking installs on the first day, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Game has also topped the ranking in terms of revenue. It has collected $300,000 on the opening day from the US and UK players. The debut of the game has remained solid so far but Niantic’s earlier game Pokemon Go has a large number of installs and revenue stats than the new release.
Pokemon Go had experienced more than 7.5 million installs from the US on the opening day and two million dollars in revenue. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite game is based on the Harry Potter movie series. It is available for free on both Android and iOS. But the in-app purchases are not free. Players have to spend money to enjoy the game thoroughly.
